Why Kredit Tools

Why?

Because good accountants shouldn’t lose their evenings to the same schedule, rebuilt by hand, again.

01

Where it started

Kredit Tools was started by a newly registered CA(SA) who did his articles in small and medium-sized practices.

SME work is wonderful training. You see a bit of everything: the farm, the family business. And you see the same jobs come round every month, every year end, for every client.

02

The mistakes were never about skill

Asset registers. Lease schedules. VAT reconciliations.

None of it is hard to understand. It’s hard to do perfectly, by hand, for the fortieth time. A formula drags one row too short. A disposal never leaves the register. A VAT201 doesn’t quite tie, and nobody notices until review.

Mistakes don’t creep in because people don’t know better. They creep in through repetition.

03

Automate the repetition. Keep the judgement.

Most of that repetitive work can be automated a very long way. Depreciation runs, lease amortisation tables, reconciliations, the tidy-up of messy client Excel.

What shouldn’t be automated is the thinking. Useful lives, discount rates, what counts as a lease, whether a number makes sense. So the tools do the arithmetic and keep every assumption out in the open, where you can see it, change it and sign off on it.

  • Start from the working papers you already have.
  • Rebuild the repeatable schedule once, in the matching Kredit tool.
  • Export the notes and support a reviewer can follow. Client files stay on your machine.

04

Built by an accountant

Kredit Tools is built by a chartered accountant. He wrote the software himself, using AI as a coding assistant, to fix problems he kept running into while doing the work during articles.

Each tool comes from work he has done himself. Every number it produces is meant to be checked, not taken on trust.

The machine does the typing. You keep the judgement.

05

Priced for small practices

Good tools shouldn’t only belong to firms with big software budgets. The plan is simple: offer these tools to accountants at a very low price, so a two-person practice can use them as easily as a large one.

06

Where we’re going

The tools are the start. The bigger idea is an ecosystem where accountants and auditors can find and work with each other, with clear rules about privacy: who sees what, and when.

A place to use machine intelligence where it genuinely helps, without handing over the part that matters. Judgement stays human.
